On the occasion of the Seventieth Birthday of Professor Orest Vlokh

Professor Orest Vlokh was born on July 2, 1934 in L'viv. During his labour activity he filled a lot of responsible positions, among them

Some of these institutions and organizations have been founded just by Professor Vlokh.
The most important achievements by Professor O.Vlokh and his contributions to development of science are the discovery of a new phenomenon of physical optics - electrogyration (1969) - and creation by him of the scientific school on crystal optics (see the next page).
The friends, colleagues, followers, disciples and the former and present students congratulate sincerely Professor Orest Vlokh with his 70-th birthday and wish him a sound health and a great further activity.
